In addition to his political achievements, Muhoza was a staunch advocate for education. He supported numerous students from his region in pursuing higher education in Kinshasa, Kisangani, and Lubumbashi. His hospitality was legendary, often hosting students and visitors in his home and providing them with a supportive environment.

In his personal life, Muhoza was a devoted father and husband. Despite the demands of his political career, he made a concerted effort to be present for his family, sharing meals and spending quality time with them on weekends. His commitment to maintaining his Kinyamulenge cultural heritage was evident in his efforts to teach his children their native language and traditions, even while they lived in Kinshasa.
